THE EUROPEAN WING OF THE WORLD INTELLECTUAL FORUM TOOK PLACE IN FRANCE
On September 27-29, 2018 at the UNESCO Headquarters, then in the European Peace Museum, in Betete, France, the European Wing of the World Intellectual Forum took place. The Forum aimed to investigate what role intellectuals can play in preventing wars and solving current conflicts in Europe and in the world.
According to Dr. Thomas Daffern, the President of the International Institute of Peace Studies and Global Philosophy (IIPSGP), peace is a very important problem to leave it alone with the discretion of states.
Мr. Gevork Manoukian, the President of the Armenian Constitutional Right-Protective Centre (ACRPC), briefly presented Armenia and the projects, that have been implementing in the sphere of peace. Then he presented his approaches on the causes of wars and at the end made a number of recommendations on the Forum's future activities. The participants asked a lot of questions about Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The next day, the participants discussed the issues of future activities of the Forum and its possible cooperation with international agencies and other countries.
